Chef Elliott is a certified ServSafe and ManageFIrst Instructor. To earn the ManageFirst Certification, students must become certified in each core course plus two electives. Each course provides a separate certification. The ManageFirst and ServSafe course certifications and the overall ManageFirst Certification are highly respected in the food industry.
The core courses for the ManageFirst Certification are ServSafe Manager, Controlling Food Costs, Hospitality Human Resource Management and Supervision, and Hospitality and Restaurant Management. To receive the overall ManageFirst certification, you must select two electives to add to the core courses to receive the certification. Elective choices are ServSafe Alcohol, Nutrition, Customer Service, Principles of Food and Beverage Management, Purchasing, Bar and Beverage Management, and Hospitality and Restaurant Marketing.
