 ServSafe Certifications

 The National Restaurant Association's ServSafe Certification is the 'gold standard' for the Food industry for staff training.  Restaurants, Private Clubs, Catering, Churches, Camps, or other  food businesses may contract with me to teach small classes of National Restaurant Association's ServSafe Manager and/or ServSafe Alcohol Awareness.  

​For individuals seeking certification ServSafe Alcohol (Maryland version)  and prefer to take the course online,  you can coordinate with me, before starting the program, to proctor the certification exam.  Alcohol Awareness certification and Instruction is regulated by the Maryland Comptroller office who annually license instructors and set strict requirements regarding the alcohol awareness programs,

Certification in Sanitation Manager

For private ServSafe Food Protection Manager classes for your business, contact me.  I teach and proctor the Certification exam for groups up to 35 students.  For your convenience, I can arrange the purchase of the textbook.  

As a professional instructor, I place my student success as a very high priority. My students benefit from additional study materials that I have developed to help them learn the sanitation material.

About The Instructor
Chef Linda Elliott received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Masters from the University of Virginia.  She earned an Associate degree in Culinary Arts degree from Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute.

After graduating from Johnson and Wales, she owned and operated a catering business.  She has been an Instructional Specialist with the Hospitality, Culinary, and Tourism Institute (HCAT) of Anne Arundel Community College since 2008.  There she teaches and certifies the culinary students in ServSafe Manager (sanitation) and ServSafe Alcohol Awareness Food.  She also teaches or has taught Food and Beverage Operations Management, Applied Techniques in Nutrition; Certification in Sanitation, Customer Service;  Catering Management and Bartender Certification.

An Aside:
​In 2017, Chef Elliott served on the National Restaurant Association's Committee that redesigned the ServSafe Alcohol Exam.
